A diferencia del VAR, este nuevo sistema de revisión en vídeo analiza jugadas únicamente por pedido de los entrenadores, que tienen derecho a solicitar dos revisiones por partido. En esta ocasión, la árbitro Marta Huerta se mantuvo en su fallo inicial. Finalmente, el FVS fue usado en el partido inaugural entre la anfitriona Colombia y Australia que se disputó en el Estadio El Campín en Bogotá. Finally, the FVS was used in the opening match between the host Colombia and Australia that was played at the El Campín Stadium in Bogotá.
