Communities across the St. Louis region are preparing to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Route 66 with festivals, concerts, museum exhibits, and attractions honoring the famous “Mother Road.” While Springfield serves as the main host city for the centennial celebration, St. Louis has been selected as one of the official satellite cities for events taking place throughout the year.

One of the main attractions will be the Route 66 Centennial Festival at the Missouri History Museum in Forest Park. The festival will feature classic cars, live music, movie screenings, collectibles, and family-friendly activities celebrating the road’s impact on St. Louis and the Midwest. Visitors can also explore the Gateway Arch, one of the region’s most recognizable landmarks connected to Route 66 tourism.
