During the first day of operation, many users spent a few minutes familiarizing themselves with the new Ride On reloadable cards, paper tickets, and vending machines. Although there were some minor technical drawbacks, the authorities described the start as successful and assured that the problems will be corrected as the implementation progresses.

El proyecto forma parte del llamado Plan de Plataforma Segura, impulsado por la Agencia de Desarrollo Biestatal (Bi-State), que también incluye la instalación de cámaras de vigilancia, cercas de seguridad y nuevos accesos controlados. The project is part of the so-called Safe Platform Plan, promoted by the Bi-State Development Agency (Bi-State), which also includes the installation of surveillance cameras, security fences and new controlled accesses. The turnstiles were designed with floor-to-ceiling barriers to prevent people from entering without paying or circumventing the system.
