La magia, el color y el orgullo cultural se hicieron presentes en la tercera edición de la Noche de Encanto Scholarship Gala, un evento que reunió a cientos de miembros de la comunidad latina para celebrar la cultura y recaudar fondos destinados a becas para estudiantes hispanos y latinos en el área metropolitana de St. Louis.
Magic, color, and cultural pride filled the third edition of the Noche de Encanto Scholarship Gala, an event that brought together hundreds of members of the Latino community to celebrate culture and raise funds for scholarships benefiting Hispanic and Latine students in the St. Louis metropolitan area.
Organizada por tres asociaciones dirigidas por voluntarios —la Ecuadorian Society of Metropolitan St. Louis, la Puerto Rican Society y la St. Louis Colombian Society— la gala se realizó en el St. Charles Convention Center, donde se vivió una velada de música, baile, arte y solidaridad.
Organized by three volunteer-led associations —the Ecuadorian Society of Metropolitan St. Louis, the Puerto Rican Society, and the St. Louis Colombian Society— the gala took place at the St. Charles Convention Center, offering an evening filled with music, dance, art, and solidarity.
Una causa que une a la comunidad
Presentado por LiUNA Local 110 y Maize & Wheat, el evento tuvo como propósito apoyar a jóvenes latinos que cursan estudios universitarios, reforzando el mensaje de que la educación transforma vidas y abre caminos de movilidad social.
A Cause that Unites the Community
Presented by LiUNA Local 110 and Maize & Wheat, the event aimed to support Latino youth pursuing higher education, reinforcing the message that education transforms lives and opens doors to social mobility.
“Lo que hace especial a este evento no es solo la música o la cena,” expresó Coral Cruz, Co-Chair del evento.
“What makes this event special is not just the music or the dinner,” said Coral Cruz, Event Co-Chair.
“Es que cada dólar recaudado proviene de voluntarios y miembros de la comunidad que creen que la educación cambia vidas. Hacemos este trabajo juntos, de corazón.”
“It’s that every dollar raised comes from volunteers and community members who believe that education changes lives. We do this work together, from the heart.”
Música, cultura y celebración / Music, Culture, and Celebration
Los asistentes disfrutaron de una actuación en vivo de la Kansas City Latin Jazz Orchestra, reconocida por su talento y vibrante fusión de ritmos latinos y jazz.
Attendees enjoyed a live performance by the Kansas City Latin Jazz Orchestra, recognized for their talent and vibrant fusion of Latin rhythms and jazz.
La audiencia respondió con ovaciones, aplausos y una pista de baile llena durante gran parte de la noche.
The audience responded with ovations, applause, and a packed dance floor for most of the night.
El evento también incluyó una cena de tres tiempos, actividades culturales y una animada participación de líderes comunitarios, empresarios y familias.

Uno de los momentos más destacados fue la subasta silenciosa, que ofreció artículos y experiencias donadas por organizaciones, negocios locales y artistas.
One of the evening’s highlights was the silent auction, which offered items and experiences donated by organizations, local businesses, and artists.

Gracias al entusiasmo de los asistentes, la subasta se convirtió en un punto clave para recaudar fondos, demostrando cómo la creatividad y la colaboración benefician directamente a los estudiantes.

Desde su creación, las tres organizaciones han otorgado más de 148 becas y distribuido más de $178,000 en fondos educativos, logros alcanzados íntegramente gracias al esfuerzo voluntario y a la generosidad de la comunidad.
Since their inception, the three organizations have awarded over 148 scholarships and distributed more than $178,000 in educational funds, achievements made possible entirely through the dedication of volunteers and the generosity of the community.
