Animals Aglow Festival Returns to the Saint Louis Zoo with Light, Color, and Culture

Animals Aglow en el Zoológico de Saint Louis; El popular Festival de Linternas con Animales Brillantes regresará al Zoológico de Saint Louis este mes de marzo, ofreciendo una experiencia nocturna única que celebra el arte y la cultura de los tradicionales festivales de linternas de China. 

The popular Animals Aglow Lantern Festival will return to the Saint Louis Zoo this March, bringing a one-of-a-kind nighttime experience that celebrates the art and culture of traditional Chinese lantern festivals.

De acuerdo con el zoológico, el evento dará inicio a su tercer año el próximo 13 de marzo, luego del éxito alcanzado en sus dos primeras ediciones.

According to zoo officials, the event will kick off its third year on March 13 after the strong success of its previous editions.

El festival contará con linternas iluminadas de tamaño natural y piezas interactivas diseñadas para resaltar la creatividad y la belleza de esta tradición cultural milenaria. 

The event will feature life-sized illuminated lanterns and interactive displays that highlight the creativity and beauty of this centuries-old cultural tradition.

Durante casi dos meses, los visitantes podrán disfrutar de más de 60 exhibiciones, además de espectáculos de entretenimiento, alimentos y bebidas especiales, y la posibilidad de ver un panda recorriendo las áreas iluminadas del zoológico. 

Over nearly two months, guests will be able to experience more than 60 displays, along with live entertainment, specialty food and drinks, and the potential sighting of a roaming panda among the glowing installations.

Entre las atracciones destacadas de este año se incluyen imponentes pavos reales que cambian de color, cerezos en flor, mariposas, arañas y peonías brillantes, así como el emblemático túnel del dragón con un nuevo esquema de iluminación.

This year’s displays include towering color-changing peacocks, cherry blossom trees, glowing butterflies, spiders and peonies, along with the iconic dragon tunnel featuring a new color theme.

Animals Aglow se realizará de miércoles a domingo del 13 de marzo al 17 de mayo, con horario de 6:30 p.m. a 9:30 p.m., y algunas fechas con extensión hasta las 10 p.m., además de noches sensoriales especiales el 29 de marzo y el 8 de abril.

Animals Aglow will run Wednesday through Sunday from March 13 through May 17, with standard hours from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., extended hours on select dates, and special sensory-friendly nights on March 29 and April 8; tickets are now available online, and the Saint Louis Zoo reminds visitors that animals will not be visible during the event.
