El ingeniero de mezcla y productor musical británico-venezolano Lewis Pickett ha alcanzado uno de los picos más altos de su carrera al llevarse a casa tres premios Latin Grammy en la 26ª edición anual de la ceremonia, celebrada en Las Vegas.

British-Venezuelan mixing engineer and music producer Lewis Pickett has reached one of the highest points of his career by taking home three Latin Grammy Awards at the 26th annual ceremony, held in Las Vegas.

Con un total de nueve nominaciones, Pickett fue una figura central en el reconocimiento de dos de los álbumes más influyentes del año: el trabajo del consagrado Alejandro Sanz y el sonido innovador del dúo argentino Ca7riel y Paco Amoroso.

With a total of nine nominations, Pickett played a central role in the recognition of two of the year’s most influential albums: the work of the acclaimed Alejandro Sanz and the innovative sound of the Argentine duo Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso.

Pickett, reconocido por su versatilidad para fusionar la pureza del pop con la audacia del alternativo, sumó tres Grammys a su palmarés: Mejor Álbum Pop Contemporáneo por “¿Y ahora qué?”, de Alejandro Sanz; Mejor Álbum Alternativo por “#Tetas”, de Ca7riel y Paco Amoroso; y Grabación del Año, por el sencillo “Palmeras en el jardín”, de Alejandro Sanz.

Pickett, known for his versatility in blending the purity of pop with the boldness of alternative music, added three Grammys to his portfolio: Best Contemporary Pop Album for “¿Y ahora qué?” by Alejandro Sanz; Best Alternative Album for “#Tetas” by Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso; and Record of the Year for the single “Palmeras en el jardín” by Alejandro Sanz.

Lewis Pickett, born in Caracas, Venezuela, to British parents, represents the perfect synthesis of Western technical training and the sensibility of Latin music. After graduating from Berklee College of Music, he began his career assisting legendary engineer Michael Brauer at New York’s Electric Lady Studios, working with world-renowned artists such as Coldplay and John Mayer.

En 2013, Pickett regresó a un entorno latino, estableciendo su estudio en Miami. Su gran avance llegó en 2016 con su primer Latin Grammy por el álbum “Visualízate”, de Gente de Zona. Actualmente, es uno de los ingenieros de mezcla más solicitados de la industria, con créditos que incluyen a Marc Anthony, Carlos Vives, Juanes, y C. Tangana (con quien ya había ganado un Latin Grammy en 2021 por “El Madrileño”).

In 2013, Pickett returned to a Latin environment, establishing his studio in Miami. His major breakthrough came in 2016 with his first Latin Grammy for the album “Visualízate” by Gente de Zona. Today, he is one of the most sought-after mixing engineers in the industry, with credits including Marc Anthony, Carlos Vives, Juanes, and C. Tangana (with whom he had already won a Latin Grammy in 2021 for “El Madrileño”).
