without defeat. The win also left the club tied with Houston Dynamo FC and FC Dallas in contention for second place in the Western Conference, although Houston had the tiebreaker by number of wins and St. Louis held the lead over Dallas on goal difference.

The win came just three days after City SC beat Colorado Rapids 3-0 on the road in the semifinals of the U.S. Open Cup. Coach Yoann Damet highlighted the effort of the group, especially for having played a demanding match in Colorado and pressing again for more than 90 minutes against Toronto.
