Las esperanzas de Emma Hayes sobre una salida triunfal del Chelsea se reforzaron el miércoles luego que el club londinense avanzó a las semifinales de la Liga de Campeones Femenina tras empatar 1-1 ante el Ajax.
Chelsea clasificó con un marcador global de 4-1 tras ganar 3-0 en la ida disputada en Ámsterdam.
Hayes tomará las riendas de la selección nacional femenina de Estados Unidos al finalizar la temporada. Buscará conducir al equipo estadounidense a la conquista de la medalla de oro en los Juegos Olímpicos en París.
Antes de eso, apunta a ganar el póquer de trofeos con el Chelsea – incluyendo la Liga de Campeones por primera vez.

Chelsea and Lyon advance to the semi-finals of the Women's Champions League
Emma Hayes' hopes of a successful Chelsea exit were reinforced on Wednesday after the London club advanced to the semi-finals of the Women's Champions League after a 1-1 draw against Ajax.
Chelsea qualified with an aggregate score of 4-1 after winning 3-0 in the first leg in Amsterdam.
Hayes will take the reins of the United States women's national team at the end of the season. She will seek to lead the American team to the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Paris.

Lyon was playing in the quarterfinals for a record 15th time, while Benfica became the first Portuguese team to qualify for this phase.
Lyon last won the trophy in 2022 and will face either Häcken or Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals. Chelsea will face the winners between Barcelona and Brann.
PSG and Barcelona won their respective quarterfinal first legs 2-1, and will host the return matches this Thursday.
The round-trip semi-finals will be held between April 20 and 21, and from April 27 to 28.
