La candidatura de Brasil para organizar el Mundial de fútbol femenino de 2027 quedó mejor evaluada que aquélla conjunta presentada por Alemania, Holanda y Bélgica, en un reporte presentado el martes por la FIFA. El Congreso del organismo rector del fútbol mundial tiene previsto votar sobre las dos candidaturas el 17 de mayo, durante su reunión en Bangkok. Será la primera vez que los miembros de la FIFA realizarán una votación abierta para determinar al anfitrión del torneo.
Brazil's candidacy to organize the 2027 Women's World Cup was better evaluated than the joint bid presented by Germany, Holland and Belgium, in a report presented on Tuesday by FIFA. The Congress of world football's governing body is scheduled to vote on the two candidates on May 17, during its meeting in Bangkok. It will be the first time that FIFA members will hold an open vote to determine the host of the tournament.

Based on the technical evaluation, Brazil's candidacy received an average score of 4.0 points out of 5. The joint European candidacy obtained 3.7. The task force evaluating the candidatures determined that both deserved to be considered, given that they “exceeded the minimum requirements to be a venue,” according to the technical analysis.

Last week, the United States and Mexico withdrew a joint bid. The U.S. Soccer Federation said the two countries will instead focus on the 2031 tournament. South Africa withdrew its bid late last year, also targeting 2031. Brazil hosted the men's World Cup in 1950 and 2014. The Women's World Cup has never been held in South America. Germany hosted the Women's World Cup in 2011. The 2023 edition was held in Australia and New Zealand, the first hosted by two nations.
