Fatal crash on I-255 leaves one dead, three injured in St. Louis County

Un accidente fatal obligó a cerrar temporalmente los carriles en dirección este de la Interestatal 255 en St. Louis County durante la tarde del miércoles. Road exit, and caused traffic diversions on Telegraph Road while emergency crews worked in the area.

De acuerdo con la Patrulla de Caminos de Missouri, el accidente involucró a un tractor-remolque y una SUV. El reporte preliminar indica que el camión impactó a la SUV, que salió hacia el lado izquierdo de la carretera y chocó contra una barrera de concreto. According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the accident involved a tractor-trailer and an SUV. The preliminary report indicates that the truck hit the SUV, which exited to the left side of the road and crashed into a concrete barrier. The tractor-trailer went to the right side, crossed the outer road and ended up hitting three homes and two parked vehicles.

Las autoridades confirmaron que una persona murió y otras tres resultaron heridas. La víctima fatal fue identificada como el conductor de 52 años del tractor-remolque, quien murió en el lugar. Entre los heridos se encontraban una mujer de 73 años que conducía la SUV y una adolescente de 14 años que viajaba en el mismo vehículo; ambas sufrieron lesiones menores.

Authorities confirmed that one person was killed and three others were injured. The fatal victim was identified as the 52-year-old driver of the tractor-trailer, who died at the scene. Among the injured were a 73-year-old woman driving the SUV and a 14-year-old girl traveling

in the same vehicle; both suffered minor injuries.

The crash also caused the temporary closure of Outer Road 255 in both directions. MoDOT cameras showed a heavy presence of emergency crews in the area, and the interstate reopened at approximately 4 p.m. The Missouri Highway Patrol continues to document the circumstances of the crash.
