At the time of the report, neither the USPS nor the Madison County Sheriff’s Office had responded to requests for comment.

Investigators said the case dates back to 2023, when the former supervisor allegedly stole nearly 90 checks worth about $369,000. Wagner stated that her confidence in the regional management of the USPS “could not be lower.”
