Pero hay una pregunta que rara vez entra en esa reflexión: ¿cuándo fue la última vez que revisaste tu estrategia financiera con la misma profundidad?During Holy Week, we talk about renewal, reflection, and new beginnings. Many people use this time to pause, think about the direction of their lives, and ask themselves what needs to change. But there’s one question that rarely enters that reflection: when was the last time you reviewed your financial strategy with the same depth?

El mundo atraviesa momentos de incertidumbre que nos invitan a reflexionar a muchos niveles: personales, espirituales, sociales… y también económicos. Las tensiones geopolíticas recientes en Medio Oriente han vuelto a poner en el centro del debate global un punto estratégico del comercio energético: el estrecho de Ormuz, por donde circula una parte significativa del petróleo mundial.

The world is going through times of uncertainty that invite reflection on many levels: personal, spiritual, social… and economic. Recent geopolitical tensions in the Middle East have again put a strategic point of global energy trade at the center of discussion: the Strait of Hormuz, through which a significant portion of the world’s oil flows.

La mayoría de las personas observa estas noticias como algo lejano. Sin embargo, los mercados financieros funcionan como un sistema interconectado: lo que ocurre en un estrecho marítimo a miles de kilómetros puede terminar afectando el precio de la gasolina, el costo de los alimentos o el valor de nuestras inversiones.

Most people see this news as distant. However, financial markets operate as an interconnected system: what happens in a maritime strait thousands of miles away can end up affecting gasoline prices, food costs, or the value of our investments.

Por eso, en momentos de incertidumbre global, la pregunta no es solo si el mundo cambiará, sino si nuestra estrategia financiera está preparada para esos cambios. La buena noticia es que no se necesitan decisiones complejas para empezar a fortalecer nuestra estabilidad financiera. A veces, basta con aplicar principios simples.

Therefore, in times of global uncertainty, the question is not just whether the world will change, but whether our financial strategy is ready for those changes. The good news is that complex decisions aren’t needed to start strengthening financial stability. Sometimes, applying simple principles is enough.

1. Diversificar, incluso si estás empezando: distribuir el dinero en diferentes empresas, sectores o tipos de activos es una de las claves más importantes que utilizamos los inversionistas para proteger nuestro capital. No necesitas grandes montos para hacerlo.1. Diversify, even if you’re just starting: spreading your money across different companies, sectors, or asset types is one of the most important keys investors use to protect capital. You don’t need large sums to start.

La lógica es sencilla: cuando el mundo cambia, algunos sectores se ven más afectados que otros. Tener exposición a diferentes industrias puede ayudarte a reducir el impacto de esas fluctuaciones a lo largo del tiempo.

The logic is simple: when the world changes, some sectors are more affected than others. Having exposure to different industries can help reduce the impact of these fluctuations over time.

2. Empezar, aunque sea con montos pequeños: uno de los mayores errores financieros es creer que se necesita mucho dinero para comenzar. En realidad, hoy es posible empezar con cantidades accesibles.

Pero las decisiones tomadas desde el pánico rara vez son buenas estrategias financieras. Los mercados han atravesado guerras, crisis energéticas y cambios políticos durante décadas… y aun así han seguido evolucionando.But decisions made from panic are rarely good financial strategies. Markets have gone through wars, energy crises, and political changes for decades… yet they have continued to evolve.

La clave es reflexionar, tener un plan y mantener la calma cuando otros reaccionan emocionalmente.The key is to reflect, have a plan, and remain calm when others react emotionally.

4. Invertir en conocimiento antes que en rumores: en tiempos de incertidumbre también aparecen muchas “oportunidades milagro”: inversiones que prometen ganancias rápidas o refugios perfectos frente a la crisis.
