The incident occurred around 4:21 p.m., when officers with the Granite City Police Department observed a vehicle traveling erratically westbound on Pontoon Road near Maryville Road. Authorities indicated that the vehicle continued on Pontoon Road before slamming into another car at the intersection with Wabash Avenue.
