On October 4, the Norwegian Glenn Diesen (GD) interviewed the Chinese-Canadian “professor” Jiang Xueqin (JX).

Sin ser “profesor” ni “historiador” a nivel universitario, y con solo una licenciatura de Literatura en Yale, JX lanzó hace 3 años su programa popular en Youtube “Historia Predictiva (https://bit.ly/3VSfagj)”, con casi 3 millones (sic) de seguidores, donde emplea teoría de juegos, análisis estructural (sic) histórico, y “psicoterapia de ficción” inspirada en el connotado autor Isaac Asimov, con el fin de interpretar y “predecir” la relevante prospectiva geopolítica.

Although he is neither a university-level “professor” nor a “historian”—holding only a bachelor’s degree in Literature from Yale—JX launched his popular YouTube program “Predictive History” (https://bit.ly/3VSfagj) three years ago. With nearly 3 million followers, the show employs game theory, historical structural analysis, and “fictional psychotherapy” inspired by the renowned author Isaac Asimov to interpret and “predict” significant geopolitical trends.

In his interview with GD, three predictions stood out: 1. “A world in revolution: Globalism vs. Nationalism”; 2. The ominous shadow of the balkanization of Canada; and 3. World War III could break out in Yemen.

In JX’s view, a global revolution is underway as “certain factions have rallied around Trump and are attempting to establish a new world order,” a dynamic reflected in current geopolitics: “Thus, the conflict we are witnessing worldwide right now is the one between globalists and nationalists.”

JX avanza un escenario excesivamente maquiavélico y muy debatible en el que EU busca controlar totalmente el hemisferio occidental (doctrina Donroe/Monroe), que es su verdadera fortaleza, por lo que estaría alimentando 3 guerras que le benefician: 1-Europa contra Rusia; 2-China contra Japón; y 3-En el Medio-Oriente: Israel contra Irán. JX posits an excessively Machiavellian and highly debatable scenario in which the US seeks total control over the Western Hemisphere (the Monroe Doctrine)—its true stronghold—and is therefore fueling three wars that benefit it: 1) Europe against Russia; 2) China against Japan; and 3) in the Middle East, Israel against Iran. From this Machiavellian scenario—which fails to account for domestic implosion within the US or the potential agreements between the US and Russia and/or China that he himself mentions—he extrapolates “a situation very similar to the pre-World War II era,” which is currently playing out in Yemen.

Be that as it may, the argument holds that in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia’s war against Ansar Allah (misnamed the Houthis) is proceeding according to the US plan outlined in the National Security Strategy. Incidentally, the December 2025 National Security Strategy contains no mention of this whatsoever (https://bit.ly/4hLCm78).

Consequently, Europe, Japan, and South Korea are becoming increasingly dependent on US energy.”

Expanding on the theme of his "oil-war" hypothesis, he adds two other factors that benefit the US through the regional conflict in the Middle East: 1—The six Arab petromonarchies of the Persian Gulf (also known as the Gulf Cooperation Council, or GCC)—currently at war—have become increasingly dependent on the US and Israel for military assistance, a situation that "gives Trump enormous influence"; and 2—"It would severely damage the Chinese economy, given that the country relies heavily on cheap energy imports from the GCC."

Comenta en forma interesante que “si nos fijamos en cómo empiezan estas grandes guerras, nunca son iniciadas por las grandes potencias. Siempre las inician actores secundarios que están aliados con esas grandes potencias”. Y agrega que “Lo iniciaron sus aliados desde las periferias. He makes an interesting observation: "If we look at how these major wars begin, they are never started by the great powers themselves. They are always initiated by secondary actors allied with those great powers." He adds, "They were started by allies on the periphery. And today, we are seeing a very similar dynamic in the Middle East."

JX outlines a fateful chain of events: “If the situation becomes complicated for the Saudis, the Americans will be forced to intervene in the war simply because Saudi Arabia is the foundation of the petrodollar. If Saudi Arabia falls, so will the petrodollar.” In my view, this would lead to the collapse of the AI ​​bubble, potentially triggering a US sovereign debt crisis—given that the Saudis purchase US Treasury bonds, which have now crossed the 5% yield threshold for 10- and 30-year maturities—not to mention the surge in US mortgage bond interest rates, which has already spilled over into France, Great Britain, and Italy.
