Pezeshkian to Travel to New York for UN Assembly After Washington Approves Iranian Delegation
El presidente de Irán, Masoud Pezeshkian, podrá viajar a Nueva York la próxima semana para participar en la Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas, luego de que la administración del presidente Donald Trump autorizara la entrada de una delegación iraní para las reuniones de alto nivel.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will be able to travel to New York next week to attend the United Nations General Assembly after the Trump administration authorized an Iranian delegation to enter the United States for the high-level meetings.
El Departamento de Estado informó que la delegación principal iraní podrá asistir a la Semana de Alto Nivel de la Asamblea General, de acuerdo con las obligaciones de Estados Unidos como país anfitrión de las Naciones Unidas. Pezeshkian tiene previsto pronunciar un discurso ante la Asamblea el miércoles.
The State Department said the core Iranian delegation will be allowed to attend High-Level Week in accordance with the United States’ obligations as host country of the United Nations. Pezeshkian is scheduled to address the General Assembly on Wednesday.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will also be part of the delegation. However, the group will be smaller than the delegation Tehran sent last year and will face restrictions on movement and certain luxury purchases.

The UN General Assembly will hold its high-level general debate from September 22 to 28 at UN Headquarters in New York.
