Six juveniles were taken into custody during Pride weekend in The Grove after violating the city's curfew, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Officers said the incidents occurred as law enforcement monitored the area during the weekend's festivities.
La policía informó que los dos primeros menores fueron detenidos después de que los agentes encontraran que uno de ellos, de 16 años, portaba un arma de fuego. Posteriormente, durante el operativo, otros cuatro menores fueron localizados con
herramientas presuntamente utilizadas para forzar el ingreso a vehículos.
Police said the first two juveniles were detained after officers discovered that one of them, a 16-year-old, was carrying a firearm. As the investigation continued, officers located four additional juveniles who were allegedly in possession of tools commonly used to break into vehicles.
De acuerdo con el departamento, los seis menores fueron trasladados a un centro de reunificación familiar, donde serán entregados a sus padres o tutores legales. Hasta el momento, las autoridades no han informado si enfrentarán cargos adicionales ni si hubo vehículos afectados durante el incidente.
According to the department, all six juveniles were transported to a family reunification center, where they will be released to their parents or legal guardians. Authorities have not released additional information regarding possible charges or whether any vehicles were targeted during the incident.
